Building Hearts: A Valentine's Day Craft
Make the time leading up to Valentine’s Day fun with this set of engaging activities! This resource includes 5 different ways that your students can create their own hearts!
Quick and easy to prep, this Valentine’s Day activity will allow your students to practice their literacy and numeracy skills!
What’s Included?
5 different activities
- Students can spell their names(capital and lowercase letters included).
- Students can spell sight words (capital and lowercase letters included).
- Students can put the numbers 1-20 in order, or put numbers in order by 10s from 10 – 100/120.
- Students to match pictures that share the same medial sounds (header included).
- Number work with numbers in the ones, teen numbers, hundred numbers
Options include: number, sketch, ten frame, tally marks, even/odd, expanded form, number bonds, one more, one less, ten more, ten less.
The hearts can be differentiated for each student, according to their ability.
Students love putting together a craft and displaying their work for all to see. They’ll be engaged in learning without even realizing it!
